37d03d is proud to announce the signing of CARM (CJ Camerieri), the secret-weapon trumpet / French horn player and member of Bon Iver and Paul Simon’s band. The co-founder of renowned contemporary classical ensemble yMusic, CARM has arranged, performed and recorded with The National, Sufjan Stevens, John Legend and The Tallest Man on Earth.

Produced by Ryan Olson (Gayngs, Polica, Lizzo), CARM features the trumpet and French horn as the unabashed lead "voice." The project developed out of the question, "What kind of record would my trumpet-playing heroes from the past make today?” CJ, who began playing jazz then trained at Juilliard, elaborates, “I believe they would want to work with the best producers, beat makers, song-writers, and singers to create new, truly culturally relevant music. That’s what I’m seeking to do.”

“I am so thrilled that my debut project CARM has found its most natural home at 37d03d,” says CJ. “This music couldn’t have been made without the support and encouragement of this community of musicians and the collaborative spirit of the label is what I strive for with all of the music I make.”

CARM's debut releases features a rare collaboration with Georgia Hubley and Ira Kaplan of Yo La Tengo.
